Fall Garden
Mike started planting our fall garden. I am pretty excited. He planted a bunch of lettuce, kale and beans. Let's hope this one will be good.

Our Weekend In Prescott
Last weekend we headed up to Prescott to visit with my friend Stephanie. She is in the process of moving out of Brooklyn. While her husband ties up loose ends there, she is staying in Prescott with her daughter, Iona. We went up Friday evening after naps. The kids did great on the trip. They did keep asking if they were there yet. That started about 20 mins into the 2 hour trip!!
We got there and of course, pulled out all of Grammy's toys for the kids to play with.
That evening we roasted marshmallows over the fire.
Neither of them wanted to eat the marshmallows, they just wanted to roast them. They didn't even want to try the S'mores.
That night I thought that it would be a good idea to put both kids in the back bedroom on mattresses. This was our first trip without Noah in his crib. Ava usually slept on a mattress on the floor in our room and Noah usually slept in the back bedroom in the crib. I figured that they would giggle and talk before falling asleep, but that Noah would be comforted knowing that his sister was in the same room with him. Ummm, wrong. I am not sure what happened, but Noah pretty much woke up every 30 minutes asking where mommy and daddy were. He would ask Ava. I could hear it in the monitor and would go in after a bit of talking and tell him to go back to sleep. Finally around 1 am, we moved Mike in there and Ava came to sleep with me. At this point, he kept waking Ava up and I didn't want 2 cranky kids the next day. Mike said he talked until about 2 am and then fell asleep until about 6 am. He was in the process of getting over a cold, but the next day from the lack of sleep, he starting getting a fever. All he wanted to do was go home, so after a short visit with my friend Stephanie, we decided to pack up the car and head home. We were supposed to go to my Aunt Judy's for dinner that night, but had to cancel. Noah was our first priority and getting him sleep in his bed to break his fever is what was best. We got about 25 minutes out and saw a sign that the freeways was CLOSED down towards Phoenix, so I went online to find out what was going on and sure enough, the freeway closed at noon with no ETA of opening. Sooo, we headed back to Prescott. Noah got about an hour nap in and we ended up going over to Aunt Judy's house. Noah was pretty tired that evening and fell asleep on me for the last hour we were there. We ended up with putting him in the room with Mike and Ava slept with me again. We were all tired. Mike said that he slept good. But as soon as he woke up, all he wanted to do was go home. Poor guy. He likes his bed and his own routine and is own home. We are planning on another trip in October. I am hoping it will be much better than this one!
